Computers

The word “computer” once referred not to a machine, but to a person… an individual tasked with performing calculations by hand. Over time, the term shifted from human to hardware, describing the emerging electronic devices of the mid-20th century that could process information at unprecedented speed. In the decades since, the computer has evolved from room-sized apparatus to pocket-sized necessity, reshaping nearly every aspect of modern life and imagination alike.
